Supplementary Rules for Double Banker Games

A.  In the event of inclement weather or bad playing conditions, the League has had to introduce ‘double-banker’ games in order to ensure that the League programme is completed. Double-banker games are the playing of two consecutive matches, between the same two club sides, one match following the other, on one pitch on one Sunday. These will only be introduced where strictly necessary, determined by teams outstanding games and the number of Sundays left in the season and will be applied under Rule 5D.

B.  The fixtures will be laid down by the Fixture Secretaries. It may be advisable to bring forward the kick-off of the first game by 15 minutes or so, if possible, in order to fit the two matches in, but please remember to notify, in good time, your opponents, the Referee, the Referees Secretary and the League.

C.  The games are to be played on the ground of the original home side. It is hoped that the cost of the pitch will not prove a problem, the Home Club generally being glad to waive any cost to opponents by virtue of playing an away game with home advantage.

D.  A team not ready to play at the time of the scheduled first kick-off, shall be deemed absent and the points awarded to the team that is ready to play. The second game will by played as soon as possible.

E.  No more than ten minutes break allowed between the two separate games. Half-time periods may be reduced if agreeable to both sides.

Duration of games shall be:

  • Mini-Soccer 15 minutes each way
  • Under 11,12,13,14, 20 minutes each way
  • Under 15,16,17,18 25 minutes each way

F.  Each game may consist of different registered playing members of each team but separate match cards must be completed and the substitutes named before kick-off of each game. The cards are then sent to the Divisional Registration Officer as usual.

G.  The referee is entitled to a separate fee for each game and these should be paid one fee due from each team participating. Please settle before kick-off because if it is a morning game he may be officiating at another game in the afternoon and may need to leave promptly at the end of the second game.

H.  A player sent-off in the first game shall be eligible to take part in the second game.
