18. Trophy:- Legal Owners, Conditions Of Taking Over, Agreement To Be Signed. Awards.

A.  Competition Cup or Trophy shall be vested in the Association sanctioning the Competition as Trustees. If a Competition be discontinued for any cause the Cup or Trophy shall be returned to the Donor, if the conditions attached to it so provide, or otherwise dealt with as the Association may decide.

The following agreement shall be signed on behalf of the winners of the Cup or Trophy:-

"We A_________________ and B______________________, the Chairman and Secretary of ________________________FC, members of and representing the Club, having been declared winners of _____________________Cup or Trophy, and it having been delivered to us by the Competition, do hereby on behalf of the Club jointly and severally agree to return the Cup or Trophy to the Competition Secretary on the first Tuesday in February or before, as clearly laid down in the Rule. If the Cup or Trophy is lost or damaged whilst under our care we agree to refund to the Competition the amount of its current value or the cost of its thorough repair."

Clubs not re-entering the League for the following season must return any trophy won by 1st September of that season. All trophies remain the property of the League. Clubs are responsible, at their cost, for the neat engraving of the Clubs name and the year/season of award on each trophy. If failing to do this, before return, it will be done by the League and the Club charged accordingly.

B.  Failure to return trophies on the date due as per Rule 18A defaulting Clubs to be fined £100 per trophy. If trophies are then still not returned by 1st Tuesday in March the defaulting Clubs may have its fixtures withheld until such time as the trophy is returned and held in good condition.
